Meaningful philanthropic work is a big part of Expert Recruiters’ philosophy. We support many organizations that we hold dear to our hearts such as the SPCA, Haro Park Nursing Home, Dress for Success, Vancouver Food bank and we even supported breast cancer awareness throughout the month of October. Here is a small excerpt of what Expert Recruiters has done this year to give back to our community.
BC SPCA Paws for a Cause 2014 Flagship Walk Vancouver
As long time animal lovers and animal rights believers Expert Recruiters decided to take action by sponsoring the BC SCPA Paws for a Cause Walk in Vancouver. The Expert Recruiters team walked proudly with their blue feather boas around their necks and furry friends in tow in support of the BC SPCA on September 7th 2014 throughout Stanley Park.
Expert Recruiters is proud to say that, along with being a corporate sponsor for the event, our team raised over $6,100.00 and was one of the top 5 corporate fundraising teams!
We already can’t wait for next year and are happy to be a part of the fight against animal cruelty.
Career Services at Dress For Success
Dress for Success Vancouver is a registered Canadian Charity and second largest outfit in North America that helps empower women into the workforce. By providing professional attire, career development tools and a network of support, we acknowledge that every woman, regardless of background, deserves the opportunity to grow, develop and succeed in work and in life.
Our Expert Recruiters Business and Recruitment Manager, Candace Amirault, is involved in Career Services at the Dress for Success Vancouver. She volunteers her time to assist women in preparing for interviews, creating and enhancing resumes and cover letters, giving guidance, encouragement and confidence to women who are looking to get back into the work force.

Haro Park Nursing Home
At Expert Recruiters we feel it is important to give back to the community. Amy Doyle, our Front Desk Coordinator, has allowed us to do so in a more personal manner than ever before. Amy puts her knowledge of nursing to good use by taking time out of her busy work week to volunteer on behalf of Expert Recruiters in a local Nursing Home.
“I volunteer at Haro Park Centre on Friday evenings; I thoroughly enjoy my time with the elders of Amber Lane and look forward to my shift every week. All the staff members have been so warm and inviting and have made me feel welcome.”
Vancouver Food bank
Expert Recruiters is involved with the Vancouver Food Bank through monthly food bank donations. Before every interview, we ask our candidates coming in to bring what they can in the way of a non-perishable food item to help the less fortunate. This has been highly successful widely due to our amazing candidates! We have been able to effectively donate a large box of food every month.
We would like to thank all our candidates that donated and to Corporate Couriers for volunteering once a month to deliver our donations to the food bank.
2014 has been an amazing year and we look forward to the New Year and everything that it will bring. Keep an eye on our website and our blog as to what our plans for 2015 are because we already have some exciting community based events in the works!
