+What is the process for finding employees through Expert Recruiters?

Our search and recruitment efforts begin immediately. Expert Recruiters will meet with you to learn more about your organization and develop a profile of your open position. +How long will it take to have an employee in our company?

The time frame for successfully finding an employee will vary based on your specific needs. We are committed to sending the most qualified applicants. We’ve built an extremely large network of qualified professionals that allows Expert Recruiters to fill your position as quickly as possible.

+What kind of background checks do you provide?

Every applicant is thoroughly reference checked based on their work history and all skills are tested. More in-depth checks including a credit check and/or transcript verification are also available for an additional fee.

+What if I am not satisfied with an employee placed by Expert Recruiters?

Although we make every effort to ensure we provide you with the perfect employee, we understand that not every job is a fit for every person. To ensure your satisfaction we provide a six-month replacement guarantee on each permanent position we fill. Simply contact our office within the first six months and we will provide a replacement at no charge. All contract positions are guaranteed for the length of the contract. Even our temporary services come with a 4 hour guarantee. If you are unhappy with the “Ambassador” provided, simply contact our offices within the first 4 hours and we will credit you for those first four hours, as well as provide you with a new “Ambassador”.

Frequently Asked Questions by Candidates

+How does temping work?

Once you have been in to register with Expert Recruiters, you will be added to our availability list. When an assignment comes in that matches your skills, availability and preferences, we will give you a call, run through the details and book you. You will receive an email from us confirming the job details, location and pay.

You will be required to fill in a timesheet during your assignment which will log your daily hours and breaks. The timesheet must be faxed to us by Friday at 6:00pm each week so that we can process your pay.

+How do I work out my payroll taxes?

Expert Recruiters will calculate your tax for you. When you commence working for us, we will provide you with tax forms which should be completed and returned to us as soon as possible so we can add you to our payroll. With this information your taxes will automatically be deducted from your paycheque and we will remit your taxes to the government.

+How do I get paid?

You will be paid by direct deposit, you will receive your payslip by Wednesday with the funds deposited to your account each Friday morning for the timesheet submitted the previous Friday.

+Where do I go for my assignment?

You will be emailed a letter of confirmation from your consultant. This letter will confirm where you should go, who you should ask for, your hours of work and your pay rate.

If you are temping for us on short notice, your consultant will run through this information with you over the phone as well as send you an email for your records.

+What should I wear to a temp assignment?

Your consultant will advise of the dress code individually tailored to your assignment. They will also provide you with a copy of our “Dress for Success” Dress Code Standards, which can also be found on our Dress for Success web page.

+I need to take a day off or I need to take time off for an interview. Who do I ask?

You should contact your consultant with any questions you have relating to your assignment. We will be able to advise you what to do next.

+What do I do if I am sick while on assignment?

You must call your consultant as soon as you know that you will be unable to make it into work that day. Your consultant will then call the company you are temping at and advise them that you are unwell and when you will return to work.

+Do I get paid for sick days?

No, temporary workers are not entitled to sick pay.

+Do I have to work on statutory holidays?

If the company you are temping for is closed on statutory holidays, you will not be required to work unless otherwise advised.

+Do I get paid for statutory holidays?

To be entitled for paid statutory holidays you must have been employed for 30 calendar days before the holiday date and have worked on 15 of the 30 days immediately before the statutory holiday.

+What do I do if the client I am temping for offers me a permanent job?

If you are temping and are offered a permanent job, then you must inform your consultant immediately. It is your consultant’s responsibility to negotiate any offers or assignment extensions for you.

+I have lost my timesheet, where can I get another one?

You can download a timesheet from our login area.

+I am available for work but I haven’t heard from my consultant. What should I do?

Our consultants are very busy. If you are available for work and haven’t heard from us in a little while, it is always worth emailing or calling your consultant to let them know you are available for work.

If you were looking for temp work that is very specific and you haven’t heard from us, maybe you should reconsider dropping your minimum salary requirements, extending the areas you wish to commute to, etc.

+I have registered for temporary work but I am also looking for a permanent position. Will I be considered for permanent roles too?

If you have indicated to us that you are looking for both temporary and permanent work, you will be automatically considered for both types of work.
