Darcia Bower – Managing Director Expert Recruiters Inc. Working in the placement industry since 1991, Darcia Bower realized a goal and responded to a need when she started Expert Recruiters in 1999. After attending the University of British Columbia, the decision to pursue staffing seemed a natural fit with her outgoing personality and analytical style. Soon, the opportunity to work with a small high profile agency presented itself. Having two incredible mentors cemented the desire and seven years with a large Vancouver agency soon followed. During this time she completed several prestigious projects including assisting in the recruitment of support and event staff for the Vancouver Canucks and Vancouver Grizzlies as well as the Executive Assistants of many of Vancouver's top CEOs. Always one to take things to the highest level, Expert Recruiters has allowed her to raise service standards and pursue innovations. An incredibly loyal client and candidate base has aided the incredible success of ER. Cindy Brannan – Recruitment Manager Financial Division Cindy brings eight years of financial recruitment experience to the Expert Recruiters team. She also has an extensive background and experience in Occupational Rehabilitation working one-on-one with clients reintegrating them into the workforce. Throughout this time, Cindy has developed the active listening and career assessment skills that represent great value for our clients and candidates. Cindy firmly believes that finding the right fit for a candidate encourages advancement in both the individual and the organization that they become a part of. Having completed her Masters in Organizational Management and working towards her Masters in Business Administration, Cindy is pursuing her education in the fields of team development, staffing structures and change management. Cindy currently holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors in psychology from Brock University in Ontario.
Sarah Blackmore – Recruitment Manager Temporary Division Sarah joined Expert Recruiters in September 2005, after moving to Vancouver from the UK. She has made her home on the North Shore with her husband Martin, and son Rafferty. Prior to joining the ER team Sarah worked for Brook Street Recruitment in Rugby, England and specialized in administrative temporary and permanent placements. Whilst working for the branch, Sarah was consistently the top performing consultant in permanent placements and worked with several exclusive clients. Prior to recruitment she worked in the hospitality industry as an event planner for five-star hotels in Warwickshire, England. Sarah's work ethic focuses on outstanding customer service, something that exceptional recruitment services are all about. Sarah has taken a great deal of pride in running UpTempo, the temporary division of Expert Recruiters' already diverse portfolio, and strives daily to place candidates in challenging and rewarding temporary assignments.
Antoine Sajous PMP, CEng, CITP, IntPE Director Engineering & Technology Division As Expert Recruiter’s Director of Engineering & Technology, Antoine is responsible for Talent Mining which implies gathering objectives and requirements, sourcing, screening, interviewing, as well as the overall assessment and recruitment of the best and brightest Antoine joined Expert Recruiters in March 1999 as technical consultant. In 2000 he became Director of Technology. Through the years Antoine has worn many hats in the organization ranging from strategic planning, recruiting to designing IT infrastructure. He brings 20 years of engineering and IT experience with such notable international companies as Westinghouse, Boeing, IBM and HP; spanning the fields of sales, manufacturing, engineering design, systems engineering and project management. A versatile individual who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York along with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Science Degree in Computer Systems Engineering. A certified PMP of the Project Management Institute who has published in IEEE USA: a research paper which he presented at the Northcon98 Convention in Seattle, Washington. He has attained Chartered Engineer status at the Engineering Council of the United Kingdom as well as at the British Computer Society (BCS) and is registered with the European Federation of National Engineering Associations (FEANI). A member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC, EIT), he holds various industry certifications while staying abreast of technological developments...
Linsey Ross – Recruitment Consultant Permanent Division Linsey's career in Recruitment started in 1993 as an assistant to two consultants at an established Vancouver firm. One of those consultants was Darcia Bower. After moving on to another personnel agency to consult and then pursing restaurant management, Linsey joined forces again with Darcia soon after she incorporated Expert Recruiters in 1999. After a short hiatus since welcoming Kennedy and Tait into the world, Linsey returned full time to Expert Recruiters. Now in her 13th year of personnel recruiting, her commitment to finding the right "fit" in each placement for both the candidate and the client remains at the heart of what she does. "Understanding the needs and goals of the both the candidate and client is what sets Expert Recruiters apart in its level of service and its execution. Our placements are about long-term solutions. You don't get years of repeat business from clients unless you have continued to provide the best service with the best results."
Katrina Martin – Recruitment Consultant Financial Division Katrina has been a member of the Expert Recruiters team for over three years and in 2007 she was thrilled to join Expert Recruiters Financial and work alongside Cindy Brannan. After graduating with Honours from Acadia University in Nova Scotia, Katrina began her career in the airline industry working for Cara Operations, one of Canada's Top 100 Employers. She helped lead a mass recruitment of 200 employees for Cara's Airport Services Division. She also expanded her role by developing training initiatives for new and existing employees. Katrina has learned the value of hiring good people and ensuring that both the employee and the employer fit together to grow together. She brings enthusiasm, commitment, and a high level of professionalism to the Expert Recruiters team.
Sabrina Gawley – Recruitment Consultant Engineering & Technology Division Upon returning to Vancouver from New York City, Sabrina made the transition from being a literary agent into recruitment. Sabrina’s solid network of North American contacts, her strong background in publishing and her wealth of experience representing intellectual properties makes her a valuable asset to the Expert Recruiters team. Specializing in the Engineering and Technology division, Sabrina is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. Her priority is to ensure a good fit between employer and employee to create a mutually beneficial relationship in the workplace. This includes making sure that a candidate brings a relevant technical background as well as a complementary skill set that will enable both the employees as well as the employers to achieve objectives and excel in the marketplace.
Julie Pecarski – Recruitment Consultant Permanent Division Julie joined Expert Recruiters in the fall of 2007 after spending over 10 years in Operations Management within the Hotel, Restaurant and Resort industries throughout North America. Julie is now excited to be focusing her strong communication and interpersonal skills in recruitment. Julie holds degrees in both Business and Hospitality Management and is working towards completing her HR certificate. Her educational background coupled with her extensive hotel experience has developed her strong understanding of multi-departmental business and specifically in the recruitment, training and development of a team. Julie approaches recruitment with passion and diligence, identifying and prioritizing the needs of both the client and the candidate in order to make an ideal match. She displays a genuine interest in the people she meets and strives to build and maintain long-lasting relationships.
Karla Cameron – Front Desk Coordinator Karla joined Expert Recruiters in early 2008 after moving to Vancouver from Winnipeg. As a result of her extensive background in the hospitality industry, Karla’s customer service-oriented attitude, enthusiasm and professionalism are paramount. Karla’s fresh energy and dedication to providing personal service make her an asset to the team. Karla enjoys skim boarding, beach volleyball, fishing, and cooking. She also hopes to explore her passion and pursue a degree in Psychology.
Toni Mohammed – Executive Assistant Toni came to Expert Recruiters with six years of experience in the recruiting industry and over 17 years of administrative and customer service experience. She provides assistance and support to the Managing Director, as well as the permanent and temporary divisions of Expert Recruiters.
Catherine Osborn – Assistant to Managing Director Catherine joined Expert Recruiters in May 2007, after moving to Vancouver with her husband from the UK. Prior to coming to Vancouver, Catherine was a lawyer in the UK, with five years’ legal experience. She now provides assistance and support to the Managing Director, as well as to the permanent and temporary divisions of Expert Recruiters. Catherine will be on maternity leave beginning September 26, 2008.
Dara Buchan – Recruitment Assistant Financial Division Dara joined the Expert Recruiters team in June 2007, having previously worked in the real estate and hospitality industries. Originally from Calgary, Dara moved to Vancouver to pursue her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and made the decision after graduation to remain and work in BC. Dara enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment in which she is able to contribute her extensive administrative and customer service experience to helping others. She is also passionate about learning and hopes to continue her education and professional development in the future. Dara is excited for the opportunity to showcase her professionalism and problem-solving abilities, as well as to gain new skills and valuable industry experience at Expert Recruiters.
Alysha Nesrallah – Recruitment Assistant Alysha joined Expert Recruiters in April 2007, when she moved from Ottawa to Vancouver. Before joining the Expert Recruiters team, she worked for the federal government as a communications assistant and completed a number of projects for not-for-profits. Alysha graduated at the top of her class in the Public Relations program at Algonquin College in Ottawa. She is passionate about her field and enjoys the energetic, fast-paced environment it offers. Her public relations background gives her a unique perspective on an organization’s needs, nicely complementing the skills she will draw on in performing her recruitment role. She is excited about working for Expert Recruiters and the opportunities to demonstrate her professionalism, self-motivation and creativity, while adding to her portfolio of experience and acquiring new skills.
Yolanda Lopez – Office Coordinator Yolanda came to Expert Recruiters in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University and a diploma in Business Administration from the College of Liberal Arts in the Philippines. Yolanda’s customer-service oriented attitude is always apparent, whether she's coordinating and managing the office maintenance or performing various clerical duties. Yolanda’s dedication, strong work ethic, and charm make her a valuable asset to the Expert Recruiters team. |
